Peta-Louise Bagott’s client acquitted at trial after successful reliance on modern slavery defence 

Peta-Louise Bagott secured the acquittal of her client, OS, facing charges of supplying Class A drugs.  

The case centred on whether OS was a victim of modern slavery. Expert evidence was called on his behalf about the criminal exploitation of children and young people in drug supply networks.  

The jury returned unanimous verdicts of not guilty on both counts.
