Rachel Woodward Contributes expert commentary on Personal Injury Damages in latest release of APIL Personal Injury Law, Practice and Precedents

Rachel Woodward contributes to two chapters on personal injury damages (Remedies under the Human Rights Act 1998 and Community Care) in the latest release of the APIL Personal Injury Law, Practice and Precedents (published 23 September 2024).

Designed and written by leading claimant lawyers, APIL Personal Injury Law, Practice and Precedents, is a comprehensive and practical reference work dealing with every aspect of personal injury practice. Combining authoritative commentary, expertly drafted precedents and other key materials, it is the ideal resource for all claimant lawyers.

Rachel has updated two chapters, providing expert commentary on damages in personal injury law, specifically in relation to Community Care and Remedies under the Human Rights Act 1998. Rachel is a claimant lawyer with a broad health and human rights practice, which intersects across personal injury and clinical negligence, the Court of Protection, and civil actions for damages under the Human Rights Act. This cross-cutting work allows Rachel to bring her knowledge in all her practice areas into her personal injury work and she has a particular expertise in drafting Schedules of Loss in complex matters.

Rachel’s work focuses on representing vulnerable individuals seeking redress against the state and private organisations in healthcare related matters. She is available for instruction in all types of personal injury and clinical negligence matters and is happy to advise on discrete issues arising that involve considerations of community care and the Human Rights Act.
