Rea Murray joins Doughty Street Chambers

Doughty Street Chambers is delighted to welcome Rea Murray, who joins our Housing team from 4-5 Gray's Inn Square.

Rea specialises in housing, property, and discrimination law, as well as related public law. Rea's particular expertise lies in the Equality Act, homelessness, eligibility, and mental capacity in social housing. She is known for her personable and determined advocacy style and enjoys bringing creative and strategic perspectives to cases from the earliest stages of litigation.

As a contributing member of the discrimination law association and the human rights law association, Rea is committed to staying at the forefront of legal developments in her field. Her extensive knowledge of housing law is demonstrated by her previous roles as the first writer for the Housing Law Review reports and Deputy Assistant Editor of the Encyclopedia of Housing Law and Practice, which have honed her keen eye for technical arguments and sophisticated appeal points.
