Sarah Vine’s client was unanimously acquitted of both murder and manslaughter in under 3 hours

Sarah Vine was instructed alone by Maria Haywood at Wannops Solicitors to represent Christopher Sheehan, who was accused of a revenge attack on a man who had threatened him in the course of a drug deal. Mr. Sheehan was alleged to have driven deliberately at Daniel Weyman, resulting in a fatal complex of brain injuries.

Sarah successfully argued for the exclusion of dangerously unreliable hearsay evidence taken from an eye witness, and cross-examined the Crown’s experts in a way that enabled the jury to accept that the collision was an accident.
