Stay in deportation of Phil Haywood’s client granted

The Home Office was seeking to deport Mr Adoboli, a former trader at UBS in London, to Ghana, by a flight due to depart yesterday.

His removal was stopped after the Upper Tier Tribunal granted an order preventing Mr Adoboli’s removal. Mr Adoboli was represented by Phil Haywood, and by Jacqueline Mackenzie of McKenzie Beute and Pope.
