Stephen Reeder is recognised as a leading Court of Protection junior (Band 2) by Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500. He has advised NHS health care bodies and local authority social care authorities in respect of Serious Medical Treatment disputes, including in particular discharge locations and arrangements for the purposes of palliative and final life-stage arrangements.   

Stephen is also one of the few mediators with both a specialist understanding of the Court of Protection and High Court jurisdiction in this area (both as a well-known specialist practitioner and as a specialist DDJ nominated to the COP at FAH), and experience of mediating urgent agreed outcomes for parties which avoids the need for court proceedings or which those courts will approve without undue litigation delays.
