Turan Hursit acts for widow of Dr Alastair Watt in inquest

Turan Hursit acted for the bereaved wife of Dr Alastair Watt. Dr Watt worked as a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust. The inquest heard that Dr Watt suffered a serious head injury but returned to work a few months subsequently, resuming duties at the Trust. He was tragically found dead in December 2017 after leaving home unannounced.

The inquest was part-heard and will resume at a later date for continuation of the evidence, submissions, and the Coroner’s verdict.

The case has attracted widespread national and local media coverage, including BBC, The Times, Mirror, North Devon Gazette, Devon Live.
