Anthony was elected as the Member of Parliament for Folkestone and Hythe in July 2024 and sits on the Justice Select Committee. He is a member of the UK Delegation to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, and is Vice Chair of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights where he is:

• Examining how frozen Russian assets can be repurposed to satisfy unexecuted judgments of the European Court of Human Rights awarding just satisfaction; and
• Leading pan European political co-operation to address the phenomenon of “hostage diplomacy” in respect of European and dual nationals.

Anthony has particular expertise in cases with an immigration and extradition crossover. He is instructed in matters involving complex issues of law and fact, and he is accustomed to formulating legal strategies across multiple proceedings, including judicial review, civil damages claims, statutory tribunals, crime, extradition, international bodies and foreign courts. He has conducted oral advocacy before courts of all levels, including the Supreme Court. He has been involved in proceedings before the Strasbourg Court, as well as international work before regional human rights bodies. 

Anthony served on the Equality and Human Rights Commission panel of specialist counsel (2019-2024), and has consistently been ranked in the leading directors in immigration, civil liberties & human rights, and Administrative and public law.
