Civil Justice Council launches consultation on mental capacity in civil proceedings
The Civil Justice Council (CJC) has launched a public consultation on the procedure for identifying and determining issues as to mental capacity to conduct civil proceedings.
The consultation has been prepared by a working group of the CJC, launched in October 2022 (see announcement here), of which Daniel Clarke is co-chair and Sophy Miles is a member.
The consultation is open until 17 March 2024 and can be accessed here.
As part of the consultation process a seminar will be held early next year. To register your interest, please visit the working group's website here.
