David Hislop QC's client acquitted of murder after three trials

Daniel Fox represented by David Hislop QC was acquitted of Murder today. In Fox’s first trial the jury were discharged after Fox had given his evidence because co-defending counsel fell ill during the trial. In trial two Fox’s co-defendant, who blamed Fox for the murder was found guilty of murder and the jury could not agree in respect to Fox. The third trial involved serious issues of “time of death” and pathology with the defence asserting that the fatal attack had occurred after Fox had left the Flat in Chatham where the murder was carried out with the aid of an electric sander. After two years on remand Fox walked free today to the delight of his parents who were both Prosecution witnesses.

David was instructed by Derek J Hayward Co.
