Doughty Street Chambers shortlisted for LexisNexis Legal Awards 2022: Case of the Year and Diversity and Inclusion

Doughty Street Chambers is delighted to have been shortlisted as finalists in two categories at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2022 for Case of the Year and Diversity and Inclusion.

Our Case of the Year shortlisting highlights the work of Tim Moloney QC and Kate O’Raghallaigh as lead advocates for all appellants in the landmark Post Office workers miscarriage of justice case, in which the Court of Appeal held that the prosecution of sub-post masters by Post Office Limited between 2003 and 2013 was an abuse of process, first quashing the convictions of 39 sub-post masters then those of a further twelve, and 9 more since.

The shortlisting for the award in Diversity and Inclusion recognises DSC's diversity collateral and initiatives and our significant progress in identifying, recruiting and retaining high quality candidates from a diverse applicant pool among staff and barristers.

The LexisNexis Legal Awards (formerly known as the Halsbury Legal Awards) were launched in 2013 to recognise and celebrate excellence and innovation across the legal sector and they continue to attract an increasing number of high calibre entrants each year. The 2022 winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 30th March 2022.
