Farrhat Arshad KC and Omran Belhadi’s client acquitted at Wood Green Crown Court

Farrhat Arshad KC and Omran Belhadi’s client was acquitted of attempted murder, multiple counts of rape and witness intimidation following an eight-week trial at Wood Green Crown Court.

The allegations arose following the breakdown of a long-term relationship between the complainant and the defendant and spanned a six year period. Defence analysis of approximately 6000 pages of messages, both served evidence and unused material, uncovered messages which undermined the Prosecution narrative. Material obtained from the Family Court and Companies house further undermined the complainant’s account.
