Frederick’s practice is focused on healthcare and medical litigation. He specialises in inquests relating to substandard medical treatment, clinical negligence, and catastrophic personal injury claims. He has represented claimants who lack mental capacity, the terminally ill, recently bereaved, and minors.  He has considerable experience of cross-examining expert witnesses gained as a result of his medical inquest practice.   Recent relevant examples include: (1) acting for the family in an inquest into the death of a patient, presumed to lack relevant capacity,  who was detained on a psychiatric ward prior to his suicide; and (2) a catastrophic injury case where the patient was deemed to have fluctuating capacity to litigate.
