Jonathan Lennon and Tayyiba Bajwa secure acquittal of 18 year old Defendant accused of attempted murder

Jonathan Lennon and Tayyiba Bajwa, instructed by Jade Gambrill of Sperrin Law Solicitors secured the acquittal of their 18 year old client who had been charged with attempted murder. The jury at Winchester Crown Court acquitted the 18 year old in December 2021 after a 6 week trial before a High Court Judge; finding him guilty instead of the lesser alternative of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.  The prosecution case was that the Defendant and his co-accused were both involved in what was alleged to be a gang related shooting. The client was supported by an intermediary through parts of the trial.
