New coroner appointment

In accordance with the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission, Governor Nigel Phillips CBE this week appointed Nick Stanage to be a Coroner in and for St Helena with immediate effect.

The British Overseas Territory of St Helena is one of the remotest islands on earth. Its multiracial population is the result of centuries of immigration from all parts of the world.

Nick will undertake his coronial duties in and for the island while continuing full-time practice at Doughty Street.
