Paul Taylor QC Appointed as a Recorder

Doughty Street Chambers is delighted to announce that Paul Taylor QC has been appointed as a Recorder, sitting on the South Eastern Circuit.

The Queen has appointed 159 Recorders on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. The appointments will take effect from 16 September 2019.

Paul specialises in criminal appeals. He has developed a particular expertise in cases involving fresh expert evidence, homicide, and offenders with mental disorders. He regularly represents appellants before the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) (being instructed at the appellate stage).
