Three month Cocaine Conspiracy trial ends in Not Guilty verdict

The jury have returned not guilty verdicts at the end of a three month trial alleging a North East of England wide conspiracy to supply almost pure cocaine. Piers's client was acquitted after cross-examination showed a catalogue of police failures to adequately investigate an alternative suspect, and the wholly incorrect attribution of a critical "dirty" telephone to his client.
