Module 2 opens in the UK Covid-19 Inquiry

Public hearings in Module 2 of the UK Covid-19 Public Inquiry started on Tuesday 3 October 2023, with opening statements from Counsel to the Inquiry, Hugo Keith KC, and core participants. Module 2 is entitled ‘core UK decision-making and political governance’ and is designated to assess high-level decision-making in Westminster in respect of the initial response to Covid-19, non-pharmaceutical interventions including lockdowns and school closures, and the effectiveness of relationships with governments in the devolved administrations and local and voluntary sectors.  It will see Boris Johnson and others give evidence.

Sam Jacobs and Ruby Peacock are instructed by Thompsons Solicitors for the TUC.
