Amal Clooney urges the Philippines to decriminalise libel in speech at Philippines CEO Conference

On September 15th 2020, Amal Clooney, a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, delivered remarks at the Management Association of the Philippines' (MAP) 18th International CEO Web Conference where she discussed the need to decriminalize libel in the Philippines following the sentencing of her client, award-winning journalist Maria Ressa, in Manila, Philippines.
