Defining Torture: Supreme Court pronounces on the scope of the definition of torture

On 13th November 2019, the Supreme Court pronounces on the scope of the definition of torture as provided by Article 1 of the UN Convention against Torture 1984 and section 134 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 in R v TRA [2019] UKSC 51.
