International Women’s Day Celebration 2020 | Saturday 7 March 2020
We welcome lawyers, policy-makers and campaigners to join us for our sixth annual celebration of International Women’s Day. This year’s event will take place at the Amnesty International UK Human Rights Action Centre in Central London on Saturday 7th March 2020, where our barristers and special guests will be speaking on topics including sexuality, disability and consent and current issues concerning sex and gender discrimination.
We will also have a changemakers panel, which will cover women making a change in the world. Plus, author Henny Beaumont will talk about the children’s book Equal to Everything, an inspiring story celebrating Lady Hale’s journey from a young girl in Yorkshire to the UK’s highest court.
The programme for the day appears below. We are delighted to be welcoming delegates and our wonderful expert speakers to panel discussions focusing on what more the law can do for women and how to build a better future for women and girls. It promises to be an excellent day.
